Our Church History

Pastors Jerry & Sherill Piscopo heard the call of God upon their lives to pastor in January of 1989.  In the basement of their condominium, they met with 3 people for a time of prayer and ministry.

As the church grew, so did the need for seating and classroom space. Through a series of moves from their home to Immanuel Church in Roseville, to the one room schoolhouse in Eastpointe and the Roseville Recreation Center in Roseville, Christ Church of Gospel Ministry purchased a facility at 19200 Frazho Road in Roseville.

It was here, that the young church put down its roots from 1990 to 1996.
During this time, in 1990, God sent Apostle Emanuele Connistraci into their lives and hearts. He became their overseeing Apostle as they came into covenant relationship with him. They purchased the building debt free as God performed a miracle and provided the finances to pay for the property, as well as, remodel it in it's entirety.

Evangel Christian Churches emerged out of Christ Church of Gospel Ministry. Several other churches were planted throughout the Metropolitan area to help meet the needs of people, as well as, to provide ministry experience for developing ministers.

Evangel Christian Churches is a church that is alive, exciting and advancing God's Kingdom.
